Design and equipment of a supervised children’s area for a high-end family resort in the Caribbean
The Zemi Miches Curio Collection by Hilton, in Miches, Dominican Republic, needed a first-class Kids Club: an independent, supervised space where parents could leave their children with peace of mind while enjoying the spa, restaurants or the rest of the resort. ACL Projects delivered the full project, indoor and outdoor.
The challenge: a safe, supervised Kids Club worthy of the Hilton brand
The hotel wanted a children’s space as carefully designed as the rest of the resort. The project requirements were:
- A striking indoor play structure as the centrepiece of the Kids Club
- An outdoor terrace play area to complement open-air play
- An elegant, marine-inspired design fitting the Curio Collection category
- Durable, safe, heavy-use materials
Our solution: a premium indoor and outdoor Kids Club
Indoor structure: the heart of the Kids Club
For the indoor area, a large-scale structure with slides was installed as the central feature:
- High-resistance galvanised structures
- Heavy-use plastic components built to last
- A visually striking design that encourages play and exploration
Outdoor terrace area
As a complement, an outdoor terrace play area lets children enjoy open-air play in a controlled, safe environment. The combination of indoor and outdoor turns the Kids Club into a complete experience for different moments of the day.
All equipment meets the safety standards required by IAAPA, of which ACL Projects is an official member.
Safety and play from age 2
The Kids Club was designed with safety as the priority: equipment for children from age 2, with no sharp edges or exposed screws, featuring slides, activity panels and terrace play that offer physical challenges beyond the basics. The result is a complete play area where children stay entertained for hours in a protected environment.
