Cap Cana Heritage School, in Punta Cana, is an American private school with a community of more than 25 nationalities and an athletics programme it’s genuinely proud of. For its indoor sports hall, ACL Projects supplied and installed the bleacher seating from which students, families and teachers experience every game.
How it started: a school that believes in sport
At Cap Cana Heritage School, sport isn’t just another activity — it’s part of who they are. They believe in the power of sport to instil values like teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship, and even their mascot, the Marlin, is part of the community’s pride (“Once a Marlin, Always a Marlin”).
An athletics programme like that needs a space to match: a hall where people don’t just play, but where the community can gather, sit comfortably and cheer. And for that, the seating is everything.
What we did: bleacher seating for the sports hall
We supplied and installed the complete seating system for the indoor sports hall, in the school’s colours:
- Tiered bleacher seating for spectators, with durable individual seats.
- A blue and yellow combination that carries the school’s visual identity.
- Durable, low-maintenance materials built for the heavy use of an active school community.
The way we work
Every space has its purpose, and the furniture has to match how it will be used. For a school sports hall, that meant comfortable, durable seats, a layout that makes the most of capacity, and colours that reinforce a sense of belonging. We adapt to what the school needs, not the other way around.
The result
Cap Cana Heritage School’s sports hall now has seating worthy of its athletics programme: a space where the school community gathers, cheers on its teams and lives sport as what it means to them — a school of values.
